There are many medicines, widely used in modern time are developed from plant derivations.
  • The practitioners of different therapies including Herbal, chiropractic, naturopathic, ayurvedic, medical doctors and traditional Chinese medicine, all utilize herbs for treatments. Herbs are available in different forms such as teas, syrups, oils, liquid extracts, tinctures, and dry extract as a pills or capsules etc.
  • The larger the amount of population, especially in developing countries, rely on herbal medicine for their primary health care requirements as herbs are more compatible with human body and have lesser side effects. Along with various diseased conditions, herbs can be used successfully in the treatment of age related disorders such as memory loss, osteoporosis etc.
  • The improvement in quality control and advanced clinical research had increased the popularity of herbal medicine as a conventional method of treatment for different diseases.
