Medical Tourism in Taiwan
Reporters have given Taiwan the title of “sleeping giant” in the Asian Medical Tourism industry. The country has so much to offer, yet has not marketed itself as a prime healthcare destination in comparison to its Asian counterparts, Thailand and Singapore. However, it is said that this ‘giant’ is about to wake up and embrace its potential as a major medical tourism destination.
Medical tourism presents a profitable opportunity to boost Taiwan’s economic development while positioning the country as a key player amongst the neighbouring and competing nations.
