Medical Tourism in Mexico:

The high cost of healthcare in the US and the escalating numbers of uninsured individuals have prompted several Americans to cross the border and receive their medical services in Mexico. It was initially famed for its dentistry and cosmetic surgery, however its orthopaedic procedures now add to Mexico's attractions.

 

With several state-of-the-art facilities comparable to American hospitals, Mexico has become one of the leading destinations for US medical tourists. The cheaper cost of healthcare, prescription drugs and physician fees and the lack of extensive waiting times, has added Mexico as a prime medical tourism destination
