The process of medication management needs to be absolutely flawless with a less than 1% error rate. It has been observed that non-accredited facilities have a very low level of compliance when it comes to ensuring medication protocols. However, after going through the accreditation process, the compliance level in most cases increases to 100%. This is because there are measurable elements that accreditation organizations require which ensure compliance to such protocols.
