Know Diabetes Campaign
A highly successfull diabetes initiative was conceptualized by Dr Prem Jagyasi in 2008, from last few year this concept is growing well. The 2010 edtion of supported by Ministry of Health, and event marked World Diabetes Day in presence of UAE Health Minister Dr Hanif Hassan Ali.
Know Diabetes campaign, in association with shopping mall and government bodies is set up to empower the public with more knowledge of Diabetes and its management. Know Diabetes 2009 was set up for 4 weeks .Just like other preventive healthcare initiatives, this even too had education as its central theme. It aimed at making the public more cognizant to the various myths and facts about the diseases and how people with this disease can live comfortably with the disease provided they take certain measures about the disease.
