Usually it is asymptomatic or even if symptoms occur they go unnoticed by the patient. Hence, one must look for the warning signs and symptoms of diabetes which include:

• Tiredness or Dizziness or Drowsiness
• Unusual weight loss
• Frequent urination
• Unquenchable thirst
• Tingling and numbness in hands, legs and feet
• Always feeling hungry
• Visual disturbances like blurred vision
• Infections like itching and skin infections
• Irritability
• Feeling disheartened or depressed.
• Feeling generally unwell
• Slow healing of wounds
• Leg cramps
